She used to be a rose,
Her petals ruby red.
She used to be an angel,
With a halo 'round her head.

This girl was once a dove,
Her wings spread open wide.
A strong, but beautiful mare,
On whom anyone could ride.

Once a gentle spirit,
She could heal the deepest scars.
She was once the Moon,
Who could outshine the stars.

Now her petals are gone,
And she's overcome with thorns.
Her angel wings have been replaced,
With a set of demon horns.

Once a dove but now a raven,
She's been robbed of all that's pure.
And her once-strong horse's back,
Is weak and insecure.

Her former healing nature,
Replaced with her own cries.
Her misty moonlight glow is gone,
Just an orb in the night sky.

This transformation was not by chance,
There's a cause for everything.
I know this poor girl much too well,
For this shattered soul is me.
